A law firm seeks an Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Associate in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience advising emerging companies and venture capital investors on various corporate and transactional matters.

Duties

• Advise on corporate and transactional matters from formation to exit.
• Draft and negotiate venture capital financing documents.
• Provide legal guidance on corporate governance matters.
• Support mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic transactions.
• Conduct due diligence and assist in transactional closings.
• Act as outside corporate counsel to private companies.
• Manage client and counsel relationships.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience.
• JD from an ABA Accredited Law School.
• Licensed or eligible to become licensed to practice law in California.
• Reside in the Century City area at or prior to the time of hire.
• Work in the office at least three business days per week.

Education

• JD from an ABA Accredited Law School.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
