Duties

• Handle a broad range of landlord-tenant matters for community associations, cooperatives, and property owners.
• Appear regularly in Housing Court and related forums, managing cases from intake through resolution.
• Advise boards, property managers, and owners on strategy, compliance, and risk management.
• Communicate directly with clients, property managers, and board members professionally.
• Attend court appearances, client meetings, and board or community meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in New York State.
• Approximately 3-5+ years of relevant landlord-tenant and/or housing court experience.
• Experience with landlords, property owners, cooperatives, or community associations preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client interaction and courtroom advocacy.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and case-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
