Job Overview: A law firm in Columbus, OH, is seeking an experienced Bond Finance Attorney to provide counsel on various financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years of experience in bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and developer/borrower counsel roles, specializing in traditional, general obligation, revenue, and project-based financings.

Duties:

• Act as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and developer/borrower counsel on various financial transactions.
• Provide legal advice and support throughout the financing process, including drafting documents, conducting due diligence, and negotiating terms.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to bond financing laws, regulations, and market trends.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external parties to ensure successful completion of transactions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Ohio State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience practicing law, focusing on bond finance transactions.
• Strong understanding of municipal finance laws, regulations, and industry practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certification in Public Finance Law from the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) or equivalent.

Skills:

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including bond indentures, purchase agreements, and disclosure materials.
