A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney in Columbus, OH. This position focuses on immigration litigation with opportunities to handle select criminal law cases. The ideal candidate will advocate for clients from diverse backgrounds and deliver high-quality legal representation.

Duties

• Represent clients in immigration litigation, including removal defense and asylum claims.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other filings.
• Appear in immigration, federal, and state courts as required.
• Advise clients on case strategy and legal rights.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff for effective case management.
• Maintain accurate case files and meet all deadlines.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.M. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state (Ohio admission preferred).
• Strong interest or experience in immigration law; litigation experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Spanish or other foreign language proficiency is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.M.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state.
