Duties:

• Responding to agency inquiries and complaints related to employment matters
• Handling employment litigation cases from inception to resolution
• Drafting and reviewing employment-related agreements, including contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and severance agreements
• Developing and implementing employee handbook policies in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Providing timely and practical employment advice to employers on various matters, including hiring, termination, discrimination, harassment, and compliance issues

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience practicing employment law
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited Law School

Certifications:

• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Ability to promptly obtain admission to the State of Iowa Bar

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and writing
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
• Experience with litigation procedures and strategies
