Duties

• Handle a full docket of litigation matters from intake to final resolution

• Conduct client consultations and provide strategic legal advice

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal agreements related to family law and civil litigation

• Appear in court for hearings, trials, and conferences

• Engage in settlement negotiations and mediation when appropriate

• Manage client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery

• Collaborate with legal support staff to maintain case progress and deadlines

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience

• Trial experience in North Carolina courts

• Ability to manage cases independently with minimal oversight

• Demonstrated experience with client relations and case strategy

• Preference for candidates with prior family law experience

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina
