This position is ideal for a senior associate with over four years of experience in civil and commercial litigation, including areas such as summary process, foreclosure, employment, and personal injury. The successful candidate will possess excellent legal research and drafting skills, with trial experience considered a significant asset.

Duties

• Support the busy litigation department by managing a diverse caseload in civil and commercial litigation.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare detailed legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and assist with trial preparation.
• Utilize the Connecticut Practice Book effectively in case management and strategy development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and provide high-quality legal services.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and legal options.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of four years of experience in litigation, with a focus on civil and commercial cases.
• Proficiency in using the Connecticut Practice Book; New York experience is a plus.
• Strong legal research and drafting abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
• Prior trial experience is highly desirable.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with legal software and tools.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Valid Bar license in Connecticut; New York Bar admission is a plus.
