Duties

• Manage civil litigation, civil defense, business, commercial, and municipal matters from intake through resolution.
• Represent and defend clients in contested civil actions, including matters involving municipalities and public entities.
• Draft and argue motions, including motions to dismiss and summary judgment.
• Conduct depositions and manage discovery.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Prepare trial materials, witness outlines, and exhibits.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, municipal officials, and court personnel.
• Maintain organized case files and litigation calendars.

Requirements

• Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in civil litigation, civil defense, business law, commercial litigation, or municipal law.
• Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently with attention to detail.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
