Duties

• Manage caseload from inception to conclusion.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Engage with clients, experts, and attorneys to develop litigation strategies.
• Conduct legal research and write memoranda.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and reports.

Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Clerkship experience is a valuable asset.
• Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
• Strong legal research and discovery response skills.
• Effective advocacy skills for mediations, arbitrations, trials, and hearings.
• Attention to detail and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Connecticut State Bar or adequate UBE score for jurisdiction admission.
