Job Overview
A respected law firm is seeking a Healthcare Transactional Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join its growing Healthcare Practice Group. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in sophisticated transactional and regulatory work while advising clients across a broad spectrum of healthcare sectors. Duties
Assist with healthcare-related transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, employment arrangements, and lease agreements
Draft and negotiate a variety of healthcare-related contracts, such as operating agreements, management agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, purchase agreements, and leases
Advise clients on regulatory compliance including HIPAA, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, state corporate practice of medicine laws, and FDA regulations
Counsel healthcare providers on licensing, compliance matters, and regulatory risks
Work with clients across diverse healthcare sectors, including medical practices, hospitals, pharmacies, long-term care facilities, research entities, and health tech companies
Collaborate with senior attorneys to deliver practical and business-focused legal solutions
Support ongoing risk management and business strategy development for healthcare clients
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in transactional law, with a focus or exposure to healthcare law
Experience advising on regulatory issues and drafting complex agreements
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet client expectations in a fast-paced setting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, client-centered approach to problem-solving and service delivery
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications
Admission to the New Jersey Bar (required)
Admission to the New York Bar (preferred but not required)
Skills
Proficiency in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing transactional documents
Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations
Ability to work both independently and as part of a legal team
Strong interpersonal and advisory skills when working with clients and regulatory agencies
Legal research and analytical thinking
