A well-established law firm located in Rochester, NY, is currently seeking an experienced Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation Associate to join its dynamic team. The firm’s practice focuses on a variety of complex litigation involving insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors & officers' insurance policies. Ideal candidates will possess substantial experience (5+ years) in commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters, along with strong research and writing skills. This position requires an individual who can work independently while also being a collaborative team player.

Duties:

• Handle complex insurance coverage and commercial litigation cases, including claims involving professional liability, general liability, and D&O insurance policies.
• Provide clear, comprehensive legal advice to clients, advising on risk management and litigation strategy.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support ongoing cases.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to devise effective legal strategies.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and negotiations.
• Stay current with changes in insurance law and legal precedents.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases independently and efficiently.
• Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Excellent academic credentials and a track record of success in legal practice.
• Ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions for clients.

Education:
