A law firm seeks an Associate Commercial Litigation Attorney with one year of experience to support trial preparation, motion practice, and client representation in complex business disputes. Duties

• Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests
• Conduct legal research on commercial law issues, case precedent, and procedural rules
• Prepare witnesses and exhibits for depositions, hearings, and trials
• Manage document review, privilege logs, and e-discovery protocols
• Collaborate with outside counsel, experts, and co-counsel on case strategy
• Attend court appearances, mediations, and client meetings as needed
• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and client communication logs

Requirements

• One year of litigation experience in commercial or business disputes
• Admission to the Texas Bar and in good standing
• Familiarity with Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Proven ability to juggle multiple matters under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
• Effective written and oral communication abilities

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas

Skills

• Proficiency with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
• Competence in e-discovery platforms and case-management software
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy capabilities
