Duties:

• Represent employers in workers' compensation cases, ensuring legal rights are upheld throughout the litigation process.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to develop case strategies and support legal arguments.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate settlements for clients, utilizing in-depth knowledge of workers' compensation laws.
• Collaborate with legal teams to maintain accurate case files and documentation.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery and evidentiary hearings.
• Provide clear and effective communication with clients and team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal matters independently.
• Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw).
• Exceptional writing, drafting, and legal analysis skills.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and client management experience.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar and a valid license to practice law.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of workers' compensation law and litigation processes.
• Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
