Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Real Estate Construction Associate in New York City, NY. This role offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience in real estate and/or construction transactional or litigation work. The successful candidate will engage with seasoned partners and industry-leading clients on impactful projects across the United States and internationally.

Duties

• Engage directly with clients to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions throughout the construction process.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide integrated service on complex construction matters.
• Draft and negotiate construction agreements, including design-build and EPC contracts.
• Support complex transactions related to real estate development and construction projects.
• Conduct due diligence and legal research for project development and risk management.
• Assist in resolving construction-related disputes through arbitration and litigation.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of sophisticated real estate practice experience.
• Construction law experience is highly valued.
• Previous law firm experience is required.
• Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the relevant state.
