A law firm seeks a Mass Tort Litigation Attorney to join their team in Raleigh, NC. Duties

  • Develop and execute litigation strategy for mass tort matters.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings and substantive motions.
  • Ensure compliance with case management and scheduling orders.
  • Monitor and implement developments in MDL/coordinated proceedings.
  • Provide direction to paralegals and case managers on litigation tasks.
  • Identify and develop liability and damages proof.
  • Assess and recommend appropriate venue and jurisdiction for filing.
  • Support settlement and resolution efforts.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation technology/tools.

Education

  • JD required.

Certifications

  • Admission to at least one U.S. state bar required.

Skills

  • Experience with complex litigation preferred.
  • Experience mentoring and supervising others preferred.
  • Experience using CM/ECF, PACER, Westlaw, and Litify.
