A law firm seeks a bright, motivated insurance coverage attorney with 3+ years of experience to join their team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in New York, with additional jurisdictions considered a plus. Excellent research and writing skills are required, and experience in coverage litigation and CGL/Umbrella coverage is advantageous.

Duties

• Analyze insurance policies and draft coverage opinion and reservation of rights letters.
• Conduct rigorous legal research and analysis, drafting memoranda.
• Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties.
• Attend mediations, hearings, and other legal proceedings as required.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in New York; other jurisdictions a plus.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in insurance coverage.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
