Job Overview: A reputable law firm in Acton, MA, is seeking a skilled Estate Planning Attorney to join their team. This position focuses on working closely with clients, guiding them through the estate planning process to ensure the protection of their families and assets. The role is designed for an attorney who values personalized client interaction, attention to detail, and community education. The ideal candidate will have experience creating comprehensive trust-based estate plans and is comfortable presenting educational materials to groups and prospective clients.

Duties:

• Meet with clients to assess their estate planning needs and develop tailored solutions.
• Provide legal counsel on complex estate planning issues, including wills, trusts, and asset protection.
• Draft and implement estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts.
• Develop guardianship plans for minor children.
• Lead and present educational workshops and webinars for the community on estate planning topics.
• Collaborate with other professionals to foster networking and referral opportunities.
• Oversee and delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants to ensure timely project completion.
• Assist the legal team and firm owner in refining processes for efficient workflow management.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of estate planning experience.
• Proficient in creating, drafting, and implementing trust-based estate plans.
• Familiarity with asset protection strategies.
• Willingness to engage with the community through educational events and outreach.

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Massachusetts (New Hampshire admission is a plus).

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients.
• Experience drafting estate plans using software platforms (Adapt or Wealth Docx is a plus).
• Problem-solving abilities to handle both client matters and internal operations efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
