Associate General Counsel
Duties: Provides legal representation on a broad array of legal matters including claims management, litigation, compliance with local, state, federal and international law, faculty and student matters and university policies. Drafts, negotiates, reviews and revises complex contracts and a wide variety of other documents for the university. Advises university personnel on legal exposure and risks by conducting legal research and analysis, and monitoring current and developing legal matters and trends to anticipate and identify potential issues and assist with developing solutions. Manages litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Manages various legal compliance matters, as well as internal and government investigations. Manages and consults with outside counsel in a cost-effective manner. Prepares and presents training programs to employees on various areas of the law affecting the university. Performs other duties as assigned.
