Job Overview:
An elite international law firm is currently seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of focused experience in private fund formation and fund operations. The role is ideal for attorneys with strong experience advising general partners (GPs) and fund sponsors, particularly in the structuring and management of private investment funds. This position offers access to high-profile clients, mentorship from senior attorneys, and increasing levels of responsibility within a collaborative, inclusive team environment.

Duties:
Advise private fund sponsors on formation, structuring, and governance of private equity, hedge, and other investment vehicles
Draft and negotiate fund documents, including LP agreements, PPMs, and side letters
Provide legal counsel on regulatory and compliance matters related to fund operations
Work closely with firm partners and clients on sophisticated legal and business issues
Participate in business development, thought leadership, and client relationship initiatives
Collaborate across departments and offices on multi-jurisdictional legal matters
Conduct legal research and analysis on private funds and asset management issues
Engage in professional development activities, including mentoring and training junior associates
Requirements:
3 to 5 years of experience in private funds legal practice
Substantial experience advising on the general partner side of fund formation
Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and meet deadlines
Proven ability to build strong client relationships and provide practical legal solutions
Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Active bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction of employment
Skills:
Deep knowledge of private fund structuring, operations, and relevant regulatory frameworks
Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
