A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney to join its fully remote litigation team in California. The firm is looking for a strong litigator with experience in civil litigation, commercial litigation, business disputes, employment litigation, real estate litigation, professional liability, contract disputes, or other complex litigation matters. Duties

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations and strategic analyses.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with firm partners.
• Advise clients regarding litigation risks and dispute resolution options.
• Negotiate settlements and assist with trial preparation.
• Utilize legal technology and practice management tools efficiently.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to business development and firm growth initiatives.

Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Minimum three years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Experience handling civil litigation matters.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and client counseling abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership with the State Bar of California.

Skills

• Experience in commercial, business, employment, real estate, construction litigation, or professional liability.
• Experience independently managing a litigation caseload.
• Experience conducting or defending depositions.
• Experience in mediation, arbitration, or trial preparation.
• Familiarity with construction disputes, employment law matters, contract claims, real estate disputes, or business torts.
• Experience supervising paralegals or litigation staff.
• Experience using Clio or similar legal practice management software.
