A law firm in Austin is seeking a Disability Associate Attorney to provide legal counsel and representation to clients in disability hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience practicing Social Security Disability law and possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Job Duties:

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in disability hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges.
• Prepare clients for disability hearings and represent them effectively.
• Engage in legal writing at the ALJ and Appeals Council levels.
• Communicate with clients via telephone, mail, and email at all stages of the disability process.

Requirements:

• Attorney License.
• 1-3 years of experience practicing Social Security Disability law.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar.

Skills:

• Legal writing and research skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage caseload effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research databases.
