Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Attorney to join its General Liability Practice Group. The successful candidate will have experience in defending general liability claims, including auto, premises liability, and professional lines such as medical malpractice and long-term care. Duties:

• Review and prepare summaries of medical records to support legal defense strategies.
• Draft motions and represent clients in court hearings.
• Prepare clients for and attend depositions.
• Draft various reports including initial, interim, pre-trial, trial, and appellate reports.
• Respond to discovery requests and draft discovery-related motions.
• Regularly attend court appearances to represent clients.
• Take and defend depositions of both fact and expert witnesses.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.
• 3-10 years of experience in general liability defense.
• Experience in defending auto, premises liability, medical malpractice, and professional lines claims.
• Strong litigation skills, including drafting motions, discovery, and trial preparation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Certifications:

• Florida Bar admission is required.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex legal issues.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in legal research and drafting motions.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
• Courtroom experience with a proven track record in litigation.
