Job Overview

An elite global law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its high-performing Banking & Debt Finance Practice. The firm advises major financial institutions, direct lenders, private equity sponsors, and borrowers on complex, multijurisdictional financing transactions. This is a premier opportunity for attorneys with at least four years of substantive experience in debt finance, particularly in syndicated lending, acquisition/leveraged finance, and private credit.

Location

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commitment letters, term sheets, loan and security documents, and related ancillary agreements

• Prepare issues lists, summary grids, and client-facing summaries

• Manage deal teams and processes from structuring to post-closing

• Conduct legal research and due diligence as needed

• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams

• Provide legal support for post-closing matters, amendments, and ongoing compliance

• Mentor junior attorneys and support staff

• Participate in training, continuing legal education, and business development initiatives

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent international legal degree from an accredited law school

• At least 4 years of experience handling debt finance transactions

• Strong background in any of the following: sponsored finance, leveraged finance, fund finance, syndicated lending, or private credit

• Bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

• Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills

• Proven experience handling complex, high-value transactions

• Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Fluency in English required; Spanish language skills a plus
