A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Investment Management Practice Group in New York or Dallas. The ideal candidate will have experience advising private fund sponsors, investment advisers, and institutional investors on the formation, structuring, and operation of private investment funds.

Duties

• Advise private fund sponsors, investment advisers, and institutional investors.
• Assist in the formation, structuring, and operation of private investment funds.
• Engage in private equity, real estate, hedge funds, or alternative investment vehicles.
• Draft and review fund documentation and related transactions.
• Provide guidance on co-investments, secondary transactions, and separately managed accounts.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of investment management, private funds, or related corporate experience.
• Experience with private fund formation and related transactions.
• Working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act and regulatory matters.
• Strong academic credentials and attention to detail.
• Admission to the applicable state bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar.
