A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney in Cleveland, Ohio. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, handling a variety of administrative and court-based tasks related to workers' compensation cases.

Duties

• Defend employers and insurers in workers' compensation matters.
• Manage a full caseload from inception through resolution.
• Appear at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and settlement documents.
• Advise clients on claims strategy, exposure, and risk management.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and claims professionals.
• Collaborate with partners and support staff to ensure efficient case handling.

Requirements

• 1-3 years minimum experience in handling Ohio workers' compensation matters, preferably on the defense side.
• Experience with general discovery matters, including depositions and witness interviews.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong writing and legal research skills.
• Entrepreneurial growth mindset for client development and practice management.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license and in good standing with the Ohio Bar.

Skills

• Strong litigation, negotiation, and legal writing skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and high-volume caseloads.
