Job Overview
A law firm seeks a project finance attorney with 3-4 years of experience to join their sponsor-side project finance group in Denver. The ideal candidate will have a background in project finance or a combination of project and acquisition finance from a top-tier national or international law firm.
Duties
- Manage closings for project finance and acquisition finance transactions in power, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
- Prepare and review credit, cash waterfall, and security documentation.
- Conduct due diligence for large renewable and conventional power, infrastructure, and energy projects.
- Draft and negotiate bid and commitment papers.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in project finance or a blend of project and acquisition finance.
- Experience with tax equity financings and other financings for renewables, transportation infrastructure, and conventional power generation.
- Familiarity with ISDA, EEI, and similar enabling documentation.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admitted to practice law in the state of Colorado or eligible for admission.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
