Personal Injury amp Insurance Defense Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks a diligent litigator to join its Miami, FL office on a hybrid schedule. This full-time role is tailored for attorneys licensed in Florida, Texas, and/or Georgia with a passion for personal injury and insurance defense work.

Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research and compose thorough written analyses.

• Handle cyber liability and other technology-related claim issues.

• Draft and respond to discovery requests, ensuring timely compliance.

• Prepare for and take depositions of claimants, witnesses, and experts, and defend those taken by opposing counsel.

• Appear at court hearings, mediations, and related dispute-resolution sessions.

• Manage trial preparation, from strategic planning to courtroom presentation.

• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and negotiated settlement agreements.

• Oversee litigation files from initial intake through trial verdict or settlement.

Requirements

• Active license in Florida is required; Texas and/or Georgia licensure a strong plus.

• Demonstrated experience in personal injury and/or insurance defense litigation.

• Proficiency in managing multiple dockets and deadlines simultaneously.

• Excellent written communication and analytical abilities.

• Strong courtroom demeanor and advocacy skills for hearings and trials.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues while also working independently.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission and good standing with the Florida Bar (required).

• Admission to the Texas Bar and/or Georgia Bar (preferred).
