Corporate Healthcare Attorney

The candidate's duties include: Advise health care clients (such as health care systems, hospitals, long term care facilities, surgery centers, medical practices, physicians, and other providers and vendors in the health care space) on business, transactional, and/or federal and state regulatory issues (including, without limitation, fraud, and abuse, licensing, privacy and security, corporate practice of medicine, and other health care regulatory issues); Provide legal analysis and advice concerning health care regulatory compliance, physician-hospital relationships, and a wide variety of healthcare business and operational issues, including patient care matters to clients; Experience in general transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation, conducting due diligence, as well as reviewing, drafting, and negotiating transactional documents; Should have 4 four years job experience as a commercial healthcare attorney with transactional experience; Should have Juris Doctorate degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association with an outstanding academic record; Admission to the Virginia Bar in good standing or the ability to waive in; During employment, must meet requirement for continuing licensure for law practice; some opportunities for obtaining in-house CLE through Kaufman & Canoles will be available.
