Duties

• Prepare, draft, and file patent applications with the USPTO.
• Draft and file responses to USPTO Actions.
• Evaluate the patentability of inventions and construe patent claims.
• Advise inventors, researchers, and attorneys on patentability and inventorship issues.
• Analyze technical documents and prepare legal analysis of inventorship and patentability issues.
• Coordinate the filing and prosecution of foreign patent applications.
• Prepare information disclosure statements and manage docketed deadlines.
• Conduct telephonic interviews with patent examiners.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Neurobiology, Neuroscience, or related life science field.
• Two years of experience in patent-related activities for life sciences products.
• Experience in preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications.
• USPTO bar admission required.

Education

• Ph.D. in Neurobiology, Neuroscience, or related field.

Certifications

• USPTO bar admission.
