Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Attorney to join its team in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. The firm specializes in debt recovery litigation, providing comprehensive solutions for major banks and creditors. This role offers a commission-eligible opportunity with no billable hour requirement. The successful candidate must be licensed and in good standing with the State of Texas.

Duties

• Review and approve new claims within jurisdiction.
• Assist with management and supervision of jurisdictional inventory.
• Conduct document review and discovery.
• Execute documents requiring Attorney's signature.
• Communicate with Managing Attorney and clients regarding case details.
• Respond to litigation-specific components of client audits.
• Monitor relevant legal rules, regulations, statutes, and case law.
• Conduct research and analysis of legal problems.
• Prepare and file legal documents.
• Manage and resolve collection litigation.
• Work with Pro Se litigants and opposing counsel to settle files.
• Oversee and interact with outside collections and defense counsel.
• Support corporate compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
• Demonstrated case analysis ability and proven settlement skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Proficient in internet and online research.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt and act quickly in urgent situations.
• Ability to work with diverse individuals.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited institution by the American Bar Association (ABA) with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
