A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney and Law Clerk for immediate in-office work in Flushing, NY. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in New York and possess at least three years of experience, capable of handling cases independently in areas such as commercial, divorce, trademark, landlord-tenant, and labor law litigations.

Duties

• Establish and manage a litigation department.
• Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery demands/responses, and motions/oppositions.
• Defend and take depositions.
• Appear in court for motions, conferences, and trials.
• Conduct appeals.
• Perform in-depth legal research and analysis.
• Draft professional legal memoranda and supporting documents.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in litigation.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Work independently.
• Fluency in English; bilingual in Chinese is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) preferred; other degrees considered.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York.
