Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in New York, NY, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience in maritime and transportation law. The candidate will be responsible for handling litigation matters related to maritime and transportation law.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to maritime and transportation law.
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
• Assist with all aspects of litigation proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Manage case files and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Participate in case strategy development and client meetings.
• Attend court hearings and conferences on behalf of clients.
• Assist senior attorneys with complex litigation matters.
• Review and analyze evidence and witness statements.

Requirements:

3+ years of litigation experience in maritime and transportation law.

Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
