A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will represent clients in court and before government agencies, argue motions and other court hearings, and conduct trials. They will also draft legal pleadings, advise clients on business and legal transactions, and negotiate settlements.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in providing legal representation and counsel to clients, handling a diverse array of legal matters.

Duties:

• Represent clients in court and/or before government agencies
• Argue motions and other court hearings
• Conduct trials
• Draft legal pleadings on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on business and legal transactions
• Negotiate settlements
• Meet with prospective clients for legal consultations
• Conduct legal research
• Participate in client intake

Requirements:

• Must have some criminal law experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Westlaw
• Spanish speaking is a major plus
• Sales background is a major plus

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity
