A law firm seeks a Senior Fund Formation Lawyer in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising sponsors on fund formation and limited partners on investments in private equity and other private investment vehicles.

Duties

• Advise sponsors on fund formation matters.
• Guide limited partners, including sovereign funds, on private equity investments.
• Collaborate on private equity transactions, M&A, and joint ventures.
• Handle structuring, fundraising, and investor negotiations.
• Manage governance and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Over six years of relevant experience.
• General experience with 1940 Act matters.
• Experience with '40 Act funds is a plus.
• Depth in energy and infrastructure-focused funds preferred.
• Experience with cross-border fund structures desired.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
