A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in San Francisco, CA. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, engage in direct client contact, and participate in all phases of litigation, including court appearances and trial preparation.

Duties

• Manage a docket of active matters with full ownership of case strategy under partner supervision.
• Conduct fact investigation and work with experts to develop case records.
• Draft and argue pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions of parties and witnesses.
• Appear at various court proceedings and mediations.
• Prepare cases for trial alongside the managing attorney.
• Maintain professional and compassionate communication with clients.

Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Two to four years of civil litigation experience.
• Demonstrated writing ability.
• Comfort in court and client interactions.
• Sound judgment in high-stakes cases.
• Interest in elder abuse, wrongful death, or medical malpractice work.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• State Bar of California membership.
