Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking to expand its Labor & Employment practice in its Portland office. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Labor & Employment partner with a strong book of business and leadership qualities to join a growing, national firm that values a collegial culture and operates with no debt. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with established client relationships and significant experience in Labor & Employment law. Oregon Bar admission is required.
Location:
Portland, OR
Duties:
Manage and lead labor and employment matters for clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients while handling a variety of legal issues within the Labor & Employment practice.
Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on issues related to employment law, including discrimination, wage and hour issues, workplace policies, and employee relations.
Lead a team of legal professionals, mentoring junior associates and staff members.
Grow and expand the firm's labor and employment practice by bringing in new business and enhancing the existing client base.
Collaborate with other partners in the firm to provide integrated legal services to clients.
Requirements:
Minimum of $500,000 in portable business.
Extensive experience in Labor & Employment law with a proven track record of client development and managing complex legal matters.
Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Established practice with a focus on the Portland and surrounding markets is preferred.
Proven ability to grow a practice and contribute to the firm's overall business development.
Oregon Bar admission required.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the Oregon State Bar (required).

Ability to handle complex legal matters and provide strategic advice.
