This role offers an opportunity to build expertise in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings while engaging directly with clients, courts, and trustees. Duties:

• Facilitate client onboarding and initial consultations

• Represent clients at 341 Meetings (Meetings of Creditors) for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases

• Attend bankruptcy court hearings and proceedings

• Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the legal process

• Liaise with court personnel and bankruptcy trustees as required

• Review and finalize bankruptcy petitions and schedules

• Analyze financial records and client circumstances to craft effective debt relief strategies

• Draft legal documents, including motions and briefs

• Track client document submissions and follow up accordingly

• Educate clients on available legal remedies and post-bankruptcy steps

• Participate in ongoing legal training and professional development

• Promote best practices in client advocacy and firm culture

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Ohio

• Familiarity with consumer bankruptcy law or interest in building a career in the field

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Proactive approach to problem-solving and time management

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Ohio State Bar
