A law firm in Birmingham, AL, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to advise, advocate for, and represent clients' interests or issues. The successful candidate will maintain a regular schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences, communicate with clients regularly, draft pleadings and responses, and conduct research and depositions.

Duties:

• Advise, advocate for, and represent clients' interests or issues.
• Maintain a regular schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences based on case requirements.
• Communicate with clients on a regular basis.
• Conduct initial consultations.
• Draft pleadings and responses.
• Draft discovery requests and responses.
• Work closely with clients to prepare accurate, persuasive briefs and motions for every case that goes to trial.
• Conduct depositions and perform research.
• Ability to proactively manage a regular caseload.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in Alabama.
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent writing skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admitted to practice in Alabama.
