A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Houston office. This role is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney with 4–7 years of experience representing business clients in complex commercial disputes. The ideal candidate will bring strong courtroom experience, exceptional writing skills, and a strategic approach to handling high-stakes business litigation. The position offers exposure to sophisticated matters and direct collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.

Represent business clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including:
Contract claims
Business torts
Construction litigation
Mechanics’ lien and bond claims
Business divorce
Unfair competition and non-compete issues
Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs across all stages of litigation
Conduct discovery, including taking and defending depositions
Participate in trial preparation and second-chair trial work
Develop and execute litigation strategies tailored to client goals
Handle post-verdict motion practice and other trial-related responsibilities
4–7 years of experience in general commercial and business litigation
Substantive trial experience preferred, including:
Motion practice
Discovery
Depositions
Trial preparation
Courtroom participation
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage complex matters with attention to detail and efficiency
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
Admission to practice in Texas (required)
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active and good standing with the State Bar of Texas
Litigation strategy and case development
Strong legal writing and oral argument skills
Experience managing deadlines and producing high-quality work under pressure
Proficient in all phases of civil litigation
Strong interpersonal and client-relations skills
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments
