Job Overview:
A mission-driven immigration law firm is seeking a Bilingual Associate Attorney to join its remote legal team. Location:
Duties:
Represent clients in immigration matters including:
VAWA petitions
T Visas
U Visas
SIJS (Special Immigrant Juvenile Status)
Draft legal documents, client affidavits, and filings for USCIS and immigration courts
Provide legal counsel and case strategy development for clients
Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and leadership
Ensure timely and accurate case preparation
Collaborate with team members in a remote work environment
Maintain strong client-focused representation with empathy and clarity
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience handling immigration cases (VAWA, T Visa, U Visa, SIJS)
Authorization to work in the United States
Fluency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written)
Strong client service skills with an empathetic approach
Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent situations appropriately
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a remote team
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Admission to practice law in any U.S. state
NJ Bar membership is a plus but not required
Skills:
Strong legal writing and drafting capabilities
Proficient with immigration case management software
Tech-savvy, with working knowledge of:
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Slack
Excel
Monday.com (or similar project management tools)
Problem-solving and detail-oriented mindset
Self-motivated and capable of adapting to evolving systems and procedures
Passion for immigrant rights and advocacy
