Job Overview:
A full-service law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3–8 years of experience to join its Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil litigation and an interest in one or more of the following areas: general commercial litigation, fiduciary disputes, construction litigation, or employment litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-value matters in a supportive, collaborative environment with strong potential for professional development.

Location:

• Charlotte, NC

Duties:

• Advise clients on litigation matters in a variety of practice areas

• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery materials

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic case analysis

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and litigation plans

Requirements:

• 3–8 years of litigation experience

• Experience in one or more of the following areas preferred:

  • Commercial litigation

  • Fiduciary litigation

  • Construction litigation

  • Employment litigation

• Experience representing plaintiffs or defendants in civil disputes

• Prior experience with depositions, motion practice, and hearings

• Trial and/or arbitration experience is a plus

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in North Carolina (required or willingness to obtain promptly)
