Associate Attorney needed for Fargo office

A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team in Fargo, ND. The Associate Attorney will primarily provide support in the Firm's litigation and business practice groups. Here's a breakdown of the job description:

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
• Assist in the preparation for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Participate in case strategy development and client meetings.
• Handle various legal tasks as assigned by senior attorneys.

Requirements:

• Must have a license to practice law in North Dakota or the ability to obtain such a license before the start date.
• Encouraged to have a license to practice in Minnesota and/or South Dakota.
• Prior experience in litigation and/or business law is preferred but not required.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of North Dakota.
