Job Overview

A law firm seeks a partner-level attorney with at least seven years of experience advising clients on FDA regulatory matters to join its Consumer Brands industry group in Portland, OR. This role offers the opportunity to lead and grow the firm's FDA and consumer products regulatory capabilities while working with clients in the food and beverage, dietary supplement, cosmetics, wellness, and broader consumer products industries.

Duties

• Advise clients on FDA regulatory compliance for food, beverage, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and other consumer products.
• Counsel clients on labeling, packaging, advertising, and promotional claims.
• Manage inspections, enforcement matters, recalls, and regulatory developments.
• Lead regulatory aspects of financing, investment, and M&A transactions.
• Negotiate and advise on commercial transactions within consumer brands and products industries.
• Collaborate with investors, lenders, and operating companies to manage regulatory risk.

Requirements

• At least seven years of experience in FDA regulatory compliance matters.
• Experience with USDA regulatory compliance is preferred.
• Portable book of business and interest in client relationship development.
• Experience with CPSC, FTC, and related regulatory matters is a plus.
• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; California Bar admission is a plus.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Sound business judgment and client-focused approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
