Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a Delaware-licensed Litigation Associate to join its Wilmington office. This full-time position involves handling a range of commercial and employment litigation matters, along with employment counseling. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing casework and client advisement related to breach of contract, fiduciary duties, discrimination, wage and hour laws, and restrictive covenants. The role also includes drafting employment documents and making court appearances.

Location:

• Wilmington, Delaware

Duties:

• Manage litigation matters including breach of contract, fiduciary duty, and employment disputes

• Represent clients in employment litigation including discrimination, wage and hour issues, and restrictive covenant matters

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Prepare and review employment agreements, policies, and handbooks

• Advise clients on employment law compliance and litigation strategy

• Make regular court appearances and handle all aspects of pre-trial litigation

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment or commercial litigation

• Strong understanding of employment law and civil litigation procedures

• Experience with client counseling and document drafting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Delaware (required)

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and research abilities

• Strong oral advocacy and litigation skills

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to manage responsibilities independently and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

• Proficiency in handling both litigation and advisory aspects of employment law
