Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Mass Tort and Product Liability practice in Los Angeles, CA. This position offers a hybrid schedule and the opportunity to work with a distinguished trial team on complex litigation matters.

Duties

• Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis for case strategy.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in all stages of trial preparation, including discovery and witness preparation.
• Assist in developing case strategy and client counseling.
• Handle court appearances and argue motions as needed.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex litigation matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• 3-7 years of experience in mass torts and/or product liability litigation preferred.
• Consideration for candidates with experience in other defense litigation practice areas within the 2-7-year range.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience drafting motions, taking and defending depositions, and handling discovery.
• Trial experience or interest in trial work is a plus.
• Admitted to practice in California.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in California.

Skills
