Tax Manager, ASC 740 Transaction Services

The candidate will manage ASC 740 income tax accounting projects covering a broad array of transactions and other consulting engagements. Lead and supervise engagement teams working on client projects who utilize technologies (Excel, Alteryx, OneSource Tax Provision) to prepare and streamline tax provision calculations. Advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice. Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm; build and manage client relationships. Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections and project budgets; Team with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the firm's tax practice. Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation and/or law firm. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, EA, J.D., or LL.M. (Please note that any candidate hired by the firm into this position that does not currently possess one of the credentials/designations will be required to secure one within one year from the commencement of employment). Experience and strong knowledge of ASC 740. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to articulate complex information. Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams. Minimum eight years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation and/or law firm; experience mentoring and counseling staff/senior level team members and strong knowledge of ASC 740.
