A law firm seeks a skilled Patent Agent with a technical background to join its patent prosecution practice in Manchester, NH. This position provides an opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners on innovative technology, including semiconductor processes and hardware/software design, within a client-focused and collaborative environment. Remote work arrangements are available for qualified candidates.

Duties

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications, ensuring compliance with USPTO standards.
• Conduct comprehensive technical and legal research to support patent application processes.
• Review and analyze patent documents related to complex technologies, including semiconductor and hardware/software systems.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and technical staff to provide thorough, client-oriented patent services.
• Participate in strategic discussions and assist clients in protecting intellectual property across various technological fields.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in patent prosecution.
• Strong technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field.
• Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Pre-law engineering work experience preferred.
• Experience in semiconductor processes and hardware/software design is highly valued.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.

Certifications

• Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
