A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to provide legal counsel and representation in matters related to local government, regulatory compliance, and administrative litigation. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with clients, advocate before state agencies and local government entities, and contribute to legislative efforts. Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Represent clients before state regulatory agencies and local government entities.
Assist in administrative litigation and related proceedings.
Provide legal advice and guidance on matters related to public utilities, emergency services, and government administration.
Attend client meetings, including those held in the evenings as required.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and legal solutions.
Monitor legislative developments and provide lobbying support as needed.
1-7 years of experience as a practicing attorney (preferred).
Strong legal research and document drafting abilities.
Ability to handle administrative litigation and regulatory matters.
Willingness to attend evening client meetings when necessary.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and legal research tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Experience in administrative and local government law (preferred, but not required).
