Profile

A law firm in Hartford is seeking a Litigation Partner with 7-10 years of experience, admitted to practice in Connecticut. The successful candidate will handle complex cases involving construction losses, product liability, fire losses, premises liability, and liquor liability through trial. Strong academic credentials are required, and admission to multiple states or a desire to gain admission in additional states is preferred.

Duties:

• Lead and manage a team of attorneys and support staff in handling complex litigation matters.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution forums.
• Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts throughout the litigation process.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys.
• Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's client base and revenue.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends in litigation practice areas.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Connecticut, in good standing.
• 7-10 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on complex cases.
• Strong academic credentials, including high grades in law school.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Admission to multiple states or a willingness to obtain admission in additional states is preferred.
