Duties

• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions agreements, and commercial real estate transactions.

• Negotiate terms and agreements on behalf of clients in various business and financial matters.

• Provide legal counsel on corporate structures, including LLCs, partnerships, and other business entities.

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations for clients in commercial transactions.

• Collaborate with colleagues to manage and oversee transactional projects.

• Maintain organized records of legal proceedings, contracts, and client communications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in transactional law.

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.

• Extensive experience in at least one of the following areas: mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, commercial real estate, commercial loans, or general business transactions.

• Ability to handle complex legal matters independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan (Required).
